A healthy blast from the past children... this is straight edge. Nothing bad here... no boogey men or anything from the nasty punk revolution...

These are the concerts that were back in tha' day... and guess what... our hero is present in his pre=pubescent form!

Brian Baker as a bassist. Gasp!!!!

It get good at about 7:40. Ahh... memories of youth.

Pt 2
Pt 3
Pt 4

Hmmm.. memories of liberal youth... I wish the ideal was still the same today, we wouldn't have half the problems that we do. I think that the issue is that these guys preached that you are responsible for yourself and the kids today just don't want to head that!

Back in tha' day this was about as liberal as it got. I assume by today's standards this is almost centrist... and that is cool with me as that is where I am... Independent! Peace to CWB and Wulf.

Here we go Mr. Baker a redemption from a mere bassist..

LA is burning

Ermmm yeah go get em...

Rock it man

Oh... and more more thing... I did NOT get the cables made especially for bass guitar. If you get the chance, even if you don't play bass, read the package. It has some type of mumbo jumbo on there about having a special bass conductor wound into the core...

Really? The bass electrons are somehow different than the other ones? To me that is profiling and I will not be a part of such a thing. I think all electrons have a right to flow on what ever conductor they want! We have come so far in electro-rights just to have Monster Cables set us back to the stone ages... Monsters indeed.
A confession... I admit.

Today I actually bought 2 items that I thought that I never thought that I would buy:

Monster Cables for my bass and an effects pedal.

I am a purist by nature and therefore don't find the need for pedals. By and large, every time I have approached them, I find them to be a distraction (except for my Paradriver that I keep for an emergency DI). But... the need hit to fatten up my sound a little to fill some more sonic area, so I decided that I needed a stereo chorus pedal. I wound up with a Boss CEB-2, and so far I think that it may fill the bill.

The other confession is the Monster Cable. I used to (and still do) think that Monster Cables are no better than any other decent cable, but cost so much due to marketing. It always seemed like a silly snob thing to me. However after having a number of cable failures I started to get fed up, so I got the Monster Cables. I don't know if they will last any longer, but if they do fail, I can just take them back to Guitar Center and have them replaced. For me, that is worth the extra $8 that I paid for them over my normal cable of choice. I should really just roll my own, but I am too lazy to mess with it.

Thats all.
